Instructions
For the case study analysis, use the model assigned to you to analyze the case study assigned to you to explore an individual-task-technology issue. These cases describe failures that occurred in projects that used an MIS approach.
Describe the Individual-Task-Technology failure related to your assigned model in your case.
Describe the relevant items in the model’s dimensions and their attributes.
Discuss how the relationships between the attributes create the negative outcome that you identified.
Your analysis should demonstrate critical thinking and scholarly investigation, should be informed by peer-reviewed literature and referenced appropriately.

Case Study Analysis Requirements
Analysis
In Module 1, you explore how poor fits between attributes of different socio-technical components can create issues. You used Sittig and Singh’s Sociotechnical model to understand the work environment in the case. In this module, the focus is specifically on individual, task, and technology issues. The model, theory, and framework in this module focus on either performance, acceptance, or adoption. For this module’s analysis, you will need to identify a problem that is relevant to your assigned model’s, framework’s, or theory’s outcome. So, if you are assigned to TAM, you must define a problem related to user acceptance or actual system use. It is not enough to say that acceptance is low. You need to define a specific acceptance problem. Next, you look at the attributes of the components of FITTE, TAM, or TPC to determine if bad fits are related to the problem that you defined. REMEMBER, do not use a component of FITTE, TAM, or TPC to describe your problem. So, your problem is not a perceived usefulness problem. What does the case tell us about perceived usefulness and how does relate to other attributes to predict acceptance?
Stakeholders and Solutions
You are also assigned a stakeholder role of Anesthisiologist. After your analysis of the case and you understand your problem, you will need to make this analysis relevant. Given what you know about the problem, discuss how your analysis impacts your assigned stakeholder. Does your assigned stakeholder have any unique issues related to the problem because of their own attributes? What changes will they need to make to fix the problem? What role will they need to have to fix the problem? How will they need to work with other stakeholders fix the problem?
Requirement for the Paper
You must submit your assignment in MSWord format. You can get a free student license for MS Office at the University of Illinois Webstore.
The case study analysis should be 3 pages.
You must follow APA style rules for your case study analysis, including headings, citations, and references. Reference the APA Publication Manual or Purdue Owl for formatting and style requirements.
Required Assignment Format
The following sections should be the Level 1 headings for your case study analysis. You may, and probably should have Level 2 headings to organize your arguments within each section of the paper.
Introduction – This is where you describe the background and situation/problem presented in the case. Introduce, in your own words, the problem and situation presented in the case study.
Results/Analysis – This is where you narrate the findings of your analysis and describe how you made your decision about what to analyze. Write up your analysis of the case, using section headers and supportive references as appropriate. This case study analysis could include characteristics of each of the eight dimensions of Sittig and Singh’s new sociotechnical model. (E.g. a description of the users, some of their characteristics that impact the project, and how you decided those characteristics were important.)
Discussion – Discuss the interpretation of your results and analysis. For this case study analysis, you might discuss how the characteristics of the dimensions did or did not match to create success or failure. This is where you discuss how your analysis impacts your stakeholder.
Conclusion – Summarize your findings in this section.
