Job Redesign and Scheduling Task

When dealing with the problem of unsatisfied web designers, and there distaste for there current work schedule, I would first and foremost arrange the schedule in such a fashion that my employees would have the privilege of working at home. For example, I would begin to schedule online video conferencing, five times a week, for 4 hours a day. During the 4 hour video conference, we will discuss as a team what paths we should take concerning upcoming opportunities, such as new items to auction, or unique marketing techniques.
I think that the majority of my web designing teams work can be done at home with the convenience of modern technology, all that would be needed is web cameras, and home computers, in which all employees have. I feel that by allowing my web designers the opportunity to work at home, they should feel a greater sense of freedom than there original 8-5 schedule. Also by allowing us to talk as a group 5 times a week, ideas will be shared, I will allow my designers the ability to share there input on how to create and market or business, they will be able to add there own creativity to the project. Variable-Pay and Skill Based Pay Programs
In considering our marketing and sales employees, I would work out a more effective way of compensating them that will save on our labor. The first change I would make would be to give my marketing and sales employees a commission based salary, rather than an hourly based wage. I will make my sales and marketing team independent contractors, and pay only based on sales. I think that by instituting a commission based incentive program, I will motivate my marketing and sales employees; furthermore, I would only pay them on an as needed basis, which will help with my overall employee labor costs.

I will also use this new commission based incentive program to keep only those sales and marketing employees that meet a certain quota of sales, which will in effect, eliminate those who are not producing enough. In accomplishing these things, I will effectively reduce costs, and reward those employees that have met the monthly sales quota.
