Japan decide to release contaminated Fukushima water into sea

You will be graded on 5 major components and 2 additional components. In each of the 5 major sections of the paper, be sure to not only identify the necessary components, but also compare and contrast the articles. Any section that does not discuss the required components of each of the four articles and compare and contrast the four articles, is subject to a reduction in points. Note: this paper must be submitted electronically via the submission link on eLearning (Papers folder).

Note: If you complete the assignment for less than four articles, you will receive a ‘0’ for the assignment. If the articles chosen do not have the same/similar research question, or the articles are not all from peer-reviewed journals, you will automatically lose ’20 points’ for the assignment. The maximum grade you can earn on this assignment is a 100.

Below is a detailed breakdown of how I will grade each of the 5 major components:

1. Introduction (12 points total)
• Introduce your topic, state the research question of each article, and explain the answer each article produced to its research question.

2. Key Variables (20 points total)
• Dependent Variable / Independent Variable(s) and their relationship.
• How did they conceptualize and operationalize their key variables?

3. Sample Design (16 points total)
• Population and Sample (aka Study Population) / Sample Design
• Do you believe the sample is representative of the underlying population?

4. Research Design (20 points total)
• What is the design structure (e.g., cross-sectional quasi-experimental; longitudinal panel survey)?
• What is the article’s guiding theory?
• What is the main hypothesis being tested?

5. Discussion (12 points total)
• Summarize strengths/weaknesses of each article.
• Which study merits the highest/lowest confidence? Justify your conclusion.
• Discuss where future improvements in researching this topic can be made.

6. Proper citations, citation formatting, and paper formatting (10 points)
