Sensors Instrumentation and Control
Different Load Movement Indicator (LMI) systems are used in crane industry. The common LMI include LMI for forklift crane, LMI for Tower Cranes, LMI system for all terrain cranes, LMI system for gantry crane, LMI for semi gantry cranes, among others.
The LMI indicator for Forklift crane is commonly applied in the automated warehouses. The design system of the Forklift is very rugged and commonly useful in the extremely suitable harsh working environments including the demanding situations. The crane has a capability of offering a wide range of configurations to meet different requirements. The common elements of the crane include the single load monitor, the dual load monitor, load and angle, hook travel, crane tilt, slewing angle and the alert alarm conditions.
The LMI system for tower cranes for Tower cranes Monad Load Movement Indicator (LMI) is designed to work in harsh environments and the demanding conditions. The system offers a wide range of configurations that meet all types of the cranes in a virtual environment. The system display the force applied on the crane, the hook amplitude which is associated with the increase in the height of the load, the rating as well as the hoisting capacity of the tower crane. The elements of the system include the load cell tension meter, digital controller, hook height, and wind sensor. The digital controller stores several types of data for multiple number of loads charts calibration, among others. The hook height is an instrument that is based on the digital sensor and has the capability of measuring the height and radius of both winding and the unwinding rotations. The wind sensor is available as either wired or wireless.
The LMI for all terrain cranes offer a high accuracy, high reliability and the ability of ensuring maximum lift of the load. The elements of the cranes include the
